Two new full-time faculty members have been hired for Teacher Education and will be starting this fall semester. Some of you know Tivona Lamberth who is one of the new members of our team. The other is Deidre WhiteMan.
Deidre comes to us from Minnesota. She has been the coordinator of a reading program in the twin cities area and is coming to UTTC to teach Reading and Language Arts Methods, among other courses. Deidre has an Elementary Education degree with a Masters degree in Reading Education.
Tivona is originally from California but has been in the state for a couple of years. She supervised the BECEP practicum this summer so some of you met her then. Tivona has a Masters degree in Early Childhood Special Education and will be teaching as well as being the Field Placement Coordinator.
