Who is the Variable?

We'll begin class today by discussing the self-reflections you completed since last class period.

Then, we'll begin today's topic of "Who is the variable in the classroom?" How does our expectations for both the students and ourselves affect the classroom climate?

We will engage in a self-reflection small group activity in class then conclude by watching "Educating Peter". This DVD is about a boy with Down Syndrome in the inclusive classroom. Our focus will be on the role of the adults in the movie - his parents, teachers, aides, etc.
